2027: We’ll Seek Re-Election On Achievements, Not Promises – Katsina Gov

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has declared that his administration will campaign for re-election based on its record of achievements rather than fresh election promises ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has declared that his administration will campaign for re-election based on its record of achievements rather than fresh election promises ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Governor Radda made the declaration on Friday during the inauguration of APC Zalla Movement coordinators for the 34 Local Government Areas and 361 wards at the People’s Square, Katsina.

New Telegraph reports that the event was organised to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures under the leadership of the late Dr Bala Nuhu Kankia.

Speaking to party members, Governor Radda insisted that the people of the state can already see the impact of his government’s development initiatives.

“Today, the people are no longer looking only at promises. In the next election, we will show the people what we have done, not make new promises,” Governor Radda declared.

He maintained that every one of the state’s 361 political constituencies had benefited from one project or intervention undertaken by his administration.

Radda described the inauguration of the APC Zalla Movement leadership as a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between the movement and the existing APC structure.

He urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to remain committed, disciplined and focused on deepening the party’s presence at the grassroots.

He charged the leaders to intensify public enlightenment campaigns by taking information about government policies, programmes and achievements directly to communities across the state.

To enhance the movement’s operations, the governor announced that his administration would provide vehicles to its three zonal structures to facilitate mobilisation and outreach activities.
